Sox and the City was launched in 2007 as an online community where fans of the Chicago White Sox could come, congregate, and express themselves freely without fear of censorship or retribution.
With the start of the 2008 season, Sox and the City shifted gears, moving away from being simply a message board. Sox and the City made it their goal to become the hub of the Chicago White Sox online community. By combining its famous forums with a new, White Sox oriented social blog, Sox and the City aims to bring together all Sox fans and sites and build the online community of Chicago White Sox fans.
