The SunTimes today on its FRONTPAGE declares the Trib guilty, with full-color Cub logo. SunTimes execs think that if they prod the Trib, they'll get to see a World Series in Chicago. The SOX are not able to gain any ground on the Cubs, who have never relinquished their Media lead since the 1990's.

so what is the sun-times declaring the Trib guilty of? Making the cubs useless?
If the Trib's guilty of anything, it's spreading propaganda that has others (i.e. Sun-times) proclaiming the Cubs to be a "national sporting treasure" against any semblance of common sense or historical fact. :confused:

That would make the Sun-times complicit in whatever it is the Trib is guilty of, would it not?

I never understood the word "treasure" relating in any way to the Cubs. More like "fools gold". I mean where in the history of American sports do you find such long standing ineptitude?

you would be correct. In what other forms of business or entertainment, is LOSING celebrated? Why is Notre Dame ballyhooed? Not because they lose. The New York Yankees? Not because they lose. The Cubs are LOSERS. No matter what they do in 2007, it will still not erase history, because HISTORY WEIGHS A TON my friends.
