its my springtime poem

The White Sox-out Of The Ashes
out of the ashes of 06 they came
you remember them- they have a name
warriors decked in pinstripes silver and black
get prepared for a white sox attack.
WITH MUSCLES OF HONOR
THEY WILL NEVER RELENT
KNOCKING TEAMS TO THEIR KNEES
THE AMERICAN LEAGUE WILL REPENT
A mighty roar from the wizard of ozz
as he grabs the lineup card, his sword
as his team takes the field, he yells
the goal the title must and will be ours!
THE KIDS IN THE BULLPEN
THE ONES CRITICS SAID NO GOOD
WILL KEY THIS DYNASTY
ALONGSIDE THE VETERANS WHO COULD
Trampling all who stood in their way
in the path of justice- the white sox way
bombastic misiles fly off of bats so strong, this team can never, ever
do wrong
HAWK & DJ, A YOUNG SINGLETON AND A LOCAL FARMER TOO
WILL BROADCAST THE BRILLIANCE
OF THE DECIMATION OF N.L. OPPONENTS
AND THEIR FANS WHO WEAR RED AND BLUE
small ball will reign, thru spring and fall
the sox gameplan is the abduction of all of baseball
the critics, and media,now cower all stunned to see
the white sox as champions, from pacific to atlantic seas
THEY WERE EMBARASSED, YES ITS TRUE
BUT IT'S 07 NOT 6, THE PAST IS THROUGH
ALL WILL CONVERGE AND WITNESS OUR FATE
RECORD NUMBERS WILL PASS THRU CELLULAR GATES
The glorious story of ozzie's and KW's dream
will be told flanked by mighty Gladiators from third to first
everyone will know
fans from the right to center to left, breathtakingly witness our show
of the taking of whats rightfully ours, the sandlots biggest throne!
SO SOX FANS, GET READY,
ITS ABOUT TO BEGIN WHEN PITCHERS AND CATCHERS REPORT
ITS THE START OF A HISTORICAL MONUMENTAL SEASON,
THAT'S WAITING FOR ONLY US TO WIN !!!
glory and honor comes to the south side this fall
baseballs most incredible team, will never die at all
it might be tough- yes this might be true
but white sox destiny, is champions, for sox fans, like me and you !!!
