Cub fans would be up in arms is my take. They would of course be whipped in a frenzy by the Chicago Media and there would suddenly be hand-wringing stories by Mariotti, Slezak and Morrissey about how theres no loyalty in baseball anymore, and how there should be a committee formed and the collective-bargaining agreement be re-opened so they can keep players on their team .........

Hangar, I think you're the only one getting worked up over this. Of course Cub fans would be upset. But they'd get over it like they did with Lieber, Garland, and Willis.
