What's your favorite PF album?
I wanna get some smart music discussion going on here. Note the lack of "PF sucks" option. I didn't add all of them because there isn't room... so vote other if I left off a great one.
My favorite is Wish. I absolutely love the whole thing. And Shine On is my favorite PF song... ever. It's orgasmic (not vaginally, though).

It's a hard choice for me between Wish and the Wall - I also love the Wall. But I just can't get away from Shine On, and I love Wish You Were Here (the song). Why the hell don't you like it, Zoso?

Because it's a mediocre ballad and it's played OUT.
Yeah, but why does it need to be? It's good just the way it is... it doesn't need to have that umpff or whatever because that doesn't fit with the subject of the song.

Animals.

Probably Animals. It begins and ends with twin acoustic songs and the middle is pretty rocking and there's a lot of great riffage from Gilmour.
Other than that, Wall, Atom Heart Mother and Darkside.
I'm not big on Wish You Were Here because I really hate the title track and I don't like Welcome to the Machine at all.
i feel like maybe if i listened to animals i wouldn't fucking be indifferent to pink floyd.
but maybe that's not the case

I liked it when I was 17 and learning to play guitar, but yeah it got old on me. Shine on and Have a Cigar are good from that album. And the cover is nice. :shrug:can you play it on guitar? I have never overplayed that Floyd song, personally. Whats better, WYWH or Tangerine (Zep)?

Tangerine is a gem. I love the steel slide guitar and the solo. One of the things that makes Zeppelin III a great album...totally underrated.
III is great

Agreed! Also, both earlier Gilmour solo albums totally rock! His last one sounds like he retired though. Not much of an edge...

lol... how much "edge" are you really expecting from David Gilmour?
I thought his last album was nothing short of amazing....

Last time. Animals. I hope to hear lots of cuts from it tonight.
Favorite album is The Wall because there are just so many great songs. Although it would be tough for me to pick between it and DSotM. Comfortably Numb is on my top 5 list of favorite songs, but so is DSotM. Hey You, Run Like Hell, Us and Them, and Brain Damage are in my top 20.
Just pencil me in for both.

When I saw his About Face shows, he had edge up the ying yang!
I reckon we will just have to disagree on that point...
