Sox optioned INF Josh Fields, OF Jerry Owens, OF Ryan Sweeney and RHP Sean Tracey to Class AAA Charlotte; Reassigned LHP Gio Gonzalez, C Gustavo Molina and INF Robert Valido to Minor League camp.

No shockers...

I actually thought they said he never did play any LF.

Likely it will be Anderson or Terrero that would come up (depending on who makes the team). I even see Sweeney coming up before Fields would if it were an outfield injury.

I heard that he played some OF this past fall and may get some reps there this upcoming season.

Yeah, if anything I'd think they'd start playing him out there in the minors this season before sending him up to play LF. They can't just expect him to start at 3rd in Charlotte and use him in LF as a call up if he hasn't done it since the Fall.
