They are crossover country/rock... when Uncle Tupelo broke up, the band split in two, one half forming Wilco, the other half forming Son Volt.

Dale, hope it's better than Okemeh...I haven't played that since I bought it.

I saw them last summer for the first time, and they were awesomely LOUD.

Trace is still a brilliant fucking album, too.
