Its a start. I'm thinking there will be a crackdown on officiating with the latest gambling scandals. Additionally hopefully there will be no more excuses the next time Posey decides to punch or clothesline one of the Bulls players.

This is good news. Hopefully it will lead to more changes like this one.

This is what the sport was lacking...longer games.

At least they'll get the calls correct. Because they suck at that.

Yeah, because there are SOOOOOOO many flagrant fouls and fights in every game.

You're right, but what they really need is more timeouts.

How are basketball games any longer than football games?

football, basketball, baseball are ALL too long and getting longer is my point. Basketball is slightly the worse since it's a 48 minute game stretched to...what 3 hours? Endless timeouts, long commercials, half-time shows. Now instant replay for fights and flagrant fouls. It will be no time at all and they will be giving the coaches the right to challenge a call like in football.

Have you ever tried playing basketball for 48 minutes straight. It's exhausting.

He's certainly had his share of problems, but back in 2002 (I think) when the Sixers were first looking to trade him, I would have loved to have seen the Bulls pick him up.

Few will agree with me, but that's what I like about soccer. Two 45 minute halves and the is clock always running. If there's a injury they add on 3-4 minutes stoppage time. There's no micromanaging thru timeouts and the best part is no commericials.

There will be a day in which EPL games are played on ESPN, and other foreign soccer leagues. Do not be surprised when a split screen with commercials is used.

They're all getting their money anyways.
Basketball is a pretty physically demanding sport, so I can understand the need for timeouts.
