per the March 19 SI:
All-Overvalued Team Which Thome is going to show up this year - the one who was good for 42 HRs and 109 RBIs last season, or the one who hit .207 and spent most of 2005 on the shelf? Given his age, 36, and the way his power tailed off after the all-star break, the odds lean toward the latter
Yeah Fuck Off SI. :jagoff:

36 is not over the hill for a batter..and Thome has kept in great shape..Funny how when the Cubs re-aquired Maddux at 39 it was a terrific move...
SI can go..F--Off!...

Thome looked great yesterday. Only had one hit but made some good contact and the swing looks sexy

Thome is great not just because he's a great player..but he's a terrific guy in general (especially with the kids).
Some players I liked a lot on the field..but were real A-Holes in person. Magglio was one...once on kids day he was too busy to sign Anthony's scorecard..he wasn't bust at all..he just didn't want to be bothered.... (Mags was his favorite player at the time).
Thome, Lee, Man Soo Lee and Rowand were terrific with the kids.
