I just got back from the Knights game (left after the fifth because we had one of the dogs there and it was too hot to stay). Masset was really good through 4 and should have been out of the 5th with no damage but Collaro played a fly ball into a double and another hit tied the game. Masset was throwing hard and his breaking ball was effective.

The offense is basically unwatchable. There are only three guys worth watching anyway (Sweeney, Bourgeois, and Lucy) and none of them was impressive. Sweeney looked as if he was trying to pull everything.

I can't wait until the new stadium opens downtown and they can serve beer on Sundays.

Glad to here Masset's stuff was good today. What does a good Charlotte line-up look like these days anyways? Only guy I care about is Sweeney at the moment.

1. Alex Sanchez- CF
2. Jason Bourgeois- 2B
3. Ryan Sweeney- LF
4. Earl Snyder- 3B- he's bad
5. Tomas Perez- SS, I think- Knights Stadium has an awful scoreboard and you can't tell what position anyone plays if you don't already know
6. Casey Rogowski- he's got a nice, slow swing that should keep him in the minors until he retires- he plays hard though
7. Thomas Collaro- RF
8. Kenny Perez- DH
9. Donny Lucy- C- didn't seem to have much of an arm, but he only threw down once

Gio bad: 2.2 IP, 9 R.
Cook amazingly didn't homer,
but he walked twice.

W-S lost 6-2.
DRod 5 IP, 5 R.
Valido 1-4, SB.
Roberts doubled & homered.

Kanny won 3-2.
Dubee 4 IP, 1 R, 4 H, 0 BB, 2 K.
Allen walked twice.
Gomes 2-3, 2 RBI.

GF won 2-1.

Bristol lost 14-8.
