We were talking and all I said was "did you see Lost Wednesday? it turns out Claire and Jack are brother and sister"...

Response "THANKS FOR RUINING IT FOR ME ! (wah..wah..wah)..I HAD IT TIVO'ED AND HAVEN'T WATCHED IT YET" click..

This pisses me off when someone does that...

My coworker and I got "shushed" in the office yesterday. We were discussing some electrical nonsense and this guy came around the corner, put his finger to his lips and told us to use our "indoor voices". This guy looks to be in his late 50s.

Are you kidding me? We have an open office arrangement (i.e. cubicles) so sound is going to travel. I mean, ut wasn't like we were yelling. And to make the "quite" motion with his hand? Get tossed...

Your threads are starting to become Squires-esque but not nearly as weird.

Also, your friend sucks. Tell him/her to stop bitching because it's just a TV show.

To be fair, it's equally annoying when someone asks you if you've seen the latest episode of a show (knowing that you watch the show), and the proceeds to recap the pivotal point or surprise ending.

You're either:
Telling that person something they already know
Ruining it for someone who hasn't seen it yet
Talking about a show that person doesn't watch, and therefore doesn't care or know what the fuck you're talking about
Thank you and good day.

lol---sounds like my neighbor,.

My apartment walls are paper thin, so when I have friends over at, say, 10:00 on a Friday night, he'll knock on our door and say

"Can you keep it down? These walls are very thin"

and I'll think to myself "no shit, I can hear you and your boyfriend fucking in the afternoon:rolleyes: "

Your friend is a pussy. He should be told so repeatedly.

I am waiting for the callback so I can hang up..I took days off from work because I was getting really stressed from this grade school garbage..(not you know who... but just adult people in general playing office games..) wah ! you guys went to lunch without me..wah..she got a promotion..I should have..wah!

and now I am angry again..

Seriously, I am not joking..I really want to leave Chicago and would love to live in the country or in Montana or Alaska somewher. I have had it.

Venting here is not going to solve your problems, but we will be happy to rip on people with you.

I understand the stupid office drama, though, if it's any consolation. I get sick and tired of people judging how much work other people are doing based on the five minutes or so a day that they see everyone. I work at a domestic violence shelter and there is a staff member at the shelter 24 hours a day so most of the time, we don't even see each other every day but somehow, we can still create whirlwinds of drama about each other's problems.

See, I blame you for your friends recently found hatred of you. You simply did not provide enough of a pause for him to reply to your question "Did you see Lost Wednesday?". If you had, you would still have your snuggle buddy to spoon with at night.

Remember when George Castanza did not provide adequate time for the husband to say "God Bless You" to the wife when she sneezed? Yeah...that episode was a life lesson.

The brother-sister thing wasn't much of a surprise. Call him back and tell him that the Others have a submarine and can leave the island at any time, but have been unable to get back to the island since Desmond turned the key.

I love the hang up.

Nothing rules more than the hang up, it is so dismissive

I was thinking of making a move to Perth, Austrailia.

It's way better than Melbourne

I'm thinkin of ditchin the wife and kids, cashin the 401, and movin to Amsterdam, alone!!!

Tony, go over there and apologize, and when your friend leaves the room swipe the hard drive from his Tivo. Or just erase the show on him.;) He's a Tivo whore! Seriously, I Tivo stuff all the time, BUT I realize the risk I take by media talkin about it, or people talkin about it. I dont bitch when I find out. Those are the risks you take on when you Tivo. It's in the Tivo etiquette handbook, chapter 4, "dealing w/ finding out".

There are so many a-holes in office environments. During the team screw up Tuesday (which everyone had a part in..but somehow I was supposed to have completely prevented as team leader..my manager goes (yells) in an office with an open door where everyone could hear.."THIS SCARES ME! YOU DIDN'T CATCH THIS EARLIER! I DON'T THINK YOU HAVE YOUR THINKING CAP ON!" . One big mistake in about 3 months out of thousands of things we do every day. And it was completely correctable.

The worst part is when she said that about the cap..I briefly started to laugh (and quickly stifled it). It just sounded so stupid..I felt like a 6 year old being scolded by mommy...
