This is excellent news. I loved Futurama, and was really pissed when it ended. I've been waiting for this return for a while now.

Now I'm in the mood to watch my Futurama series on DVD. :D

I remember hearing a few years back (prolly on WSI) that Futurama was supposed to do a few made for DVD movies in the mold of the Stewie Griffin story

I think the plan is 1 (one) straight to DVD movie called Bender's Big Somethingorother, then there will be 3 (?) Stewie Griffin-esque "movies" that are just 3 multi-part episodes, these are the ones that will air on Cartoon Network...or Comedy Central...I can't remember.

I think it was Fry trading hands with the robot devil and writing the Holophoner opera about Leela.
It ends with major hints that Fry and Leela are gonna get it on and whatnot.
FINALLY.

An excellent episode.

EDIT: It MIGHT have been the Star Trek episode though. I'm not positive.

i'm pretty sure the last episode is either the bigfoot one or the "no ordinary honey" episode

edit: you are right--it was the devil's hands episode.

however like 4 episodes that season ended with leela and fry supposedly ending up together--

the farnsworth parabox, the sting, the devil's hands, and the one with bob odenkirk hilariously voicing the mayor's aide

Ah, yes. I don't know why I thought it was the Star Trek one. :thinking:
Which is the one with Bob Odenkirk?

Anyway, I think the devil's hands one is a good endcap for the series...I hope however it ends now is just as solid.

I watched almost all of season one today, it is still hilarious. Overall, Futurama is one of my alltime favorite shows. Can't wait to see some new material though, hopefully they havn't lost their touch by now.

in tv it's already taken up by frasier, family guy, and the simpsons, therefore futurama must suck :rolleyes:

kind of like how in music any band that isn't pearl jam, led zeppelin, or alice in chains must suck unless they're ripping off one of those bands

How can one *not* like futurama?

It's got every level of humor there. Every over the top obvious jokes in that show usually consists of like three tiny subtle jokes as well.
