Following the dumping of Molina, Iguchi & Mack:
- Ricks was promoted from W-S to Charlotte
- Link was assigned to W-S

I'm listening to the Knights' radio broadcast, and they indicated that Sweeney, W Gonzalez, and Reynoso all were placed on the DL today.

Ricks just had a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the ninth to bring the go-ahead run to the plate. Too bad Ryan Smith sucks and quickly recorded the final out.

Not sure, I hope somebody who knows more about minor league baseball than you do answers this question.

I did see Sweeney with a cast or something on his wrist on MiLB.tv from Tuesday's game. I thought that was odd. :\ Jesus Christ, what the fuck are they doing to those guys' wrists?! :(

Sweeney had wrist surgery in 2005 and was "plagued" by "weakness in his wrist" for most of 2006 too. Same goes for BA.
Doesn't Sweeney have a plate in his wrist???
Uh oh! :O

BA had a plate in his wrist. It was removed in late-2005 or early-2006, IIRC.
Guys, this DL thing is just the first domino. A bunch more are starting to fall. I'll update when I get confirmation (though Automerge may prevent anybody from noticing).
FWIW, the names being tossed around are McCulloch, Lucy, Armstrong, Collaro, Cook, and maybe one of the starting pitchers at BHM.

Those names are being tossed around for what? For surgery or for promotion?

Yea, duh... right after I posted that, I thought to myself... I think I switched BA and Sweeney there. MILB.com lists Sweeney as having "wrist soreness".. .should be back soon, I hope.

When does Egbert get the bump to AAA? According to his peripherals (k/BB, k/9IP, OBA, WHIP, etc) he is the FIFTH best starting pitcher in the minors.

McColloch still at high-A is odd to me. He projects a bit higher than Broadway who cut through the ranks pretty quick. Maybe he needs to work on his durability, as he is only averaging 5+ IP per start.
Too bad Getz was injured.. He seemingly was earmarked for Charlotte.

Promotion. Gotta fill up all those empty spots.
Charlotte's opening day roster is a distant memory at this point.

Shouldn't Schnur be at Birmingham and Carter at W-S ? Along with Gartrell ?

Lucy and Collaro to Charlotte.
The Ricks to W-S move was canceled.
He's still with the Knights.
