Gio took a no-hitter into the 5th inning.
His final line: 6.2, 1 R, 2 H, 2 BB, 11 K, 9 GO, 0 FO.
He's now 7-5 with a 3.04 ERA, 115.1 IP, 43 BB, 142 K.
I like the 9 groundout to 0 flyout stat.

He only gave up one fly ball, and that was at the very end of his outing. The 1st hit was a grounder up the middle. Everything else was a BB, K, or ground out. That's pretty amazing.
I also like his 11.08 K/9 and 3.3 K/BB on the year.
That K/BB ratio of over 3 is pretty sweet, too. I'm really glad we got this guy back.

But I heard KW got fleeced when he gave up Garcia for Floyd? He's an idiot!

Any way he sees a September call up or move up to AAA before the season is over? Or is the plan to just let him keep growing in AA until theres a spot in the rotation for him?

By the looks of it, he'll be in the rotation next season as the big 4 won't all be around from what I can tell.

I dont think Gio is quite ready to make the jump to the big show, but AAA might be pretty realistic.
This guy is some talent thats for sure.

This guy has me really excited, no doubt about it. I sure hope he doesn't flop in the MLB and becomes the a dominating strikeout kind of pitcher.

Bonus: he's only 21 years old.
