Last year, the problem went away shortly after the regular season started, Garland said. He's hoping the same thing will happen this year

He had the same problem last year. And outside of the first inning today, he was alright. He'll be fine; I just hope this "knot" gets worked out sooner than it did last year, because he was pretty bad in his first few starts.

McCarthy was not a legitimate starter. He gives up a homerun every five innings. I'm glad we got good value for him while we could, he's always going to give up a buttload of homeruns.

Funny you should mension that cause he gave up 2 more HR's today against the Padres in 4 innings of work. Good call.:rock:
