MacDougle pitched a scoreless inning of relief for Charlotte today.

I guess he'll be back up blowing games for the Sox in a week or so.

He is coming back strong and won't give up more than 5 runs the rest of the season.

Just got back from Indy.

MacDougle was absolutely dominant: something like 5 Ks in 2 IP. He'll be back up soon . . . for better or worse.

On a somewhat related note, Erstad looks like total crap at the plate. It's not a health thing, since he can run / field / throw just fine.

MacDougle was fantastic yesterday. He shattered a bat and the entire bat just fell straight to the ground. Only hit he gave up the guy was way out in front of and barely kept his bat there. I was sitting behind home plate and his fast ball was dancing all around.

Aardsma didn't looked too bad either. He got screwed out of a call I think, and that ended in him pitching to two more batters, but he looks like he's on his way back. Both were throwing in the upper 90's, both topping out around 97, I believe.

Did you see the scout there, or have any clue who he was scouting. I saw he had a radar gun out with Phillips was in, but he left for awhile in the middle of the game, then couldn't see if he had the gun back out later in the game.

Here's a shot of MacDougle:

The rest of the pictures I took of the game are all here, the screen was in my way the whole time, but I have pictures of each guy through the lineup and then all the pitchers that threw.

Great pic. Right before that pitch, I told somebody, "Watch how goofy the end of his delivery is, and how he flies off to the 1B side." Then his hat flies off on the very next pitch.
:D

I didn't get to check out the scout, because we were seeking shade in Row V.

a delivery like that is going to cause problems once he starts losing velocity

I'm also a believer in MacDougal. He's got too much stuff to be terrible.

If him and Thornton can get their heads out of there asses next year the back of our bullpen should be pretty good.
