Meanwhile, The predecessors of his political variety are remembered historically with:

C’mon there guy, how about a little consistency… It’s the Conservatives that are supposed to be preaching for the end of the US global police force, not socialist liberals, republicrats and neocons.

The first George Bush originally sent in the troops to Somalia.

read the articles

Clinton took the advice and ordered the withdrawal - a decision that Osama bin Laden would later credit with emboldening his terrorist fighters and encouraging him to mount further attacks against the U.S.

Gee, I wonder what will happen if the troops are withdrawn from Iraq? Its past the time for blaming this guy and that guy and this stupid congress...

Want the geography of an entire middleeastern nation to become the global HQ for terrorist activities?? Then support Obama and his clan's 100% troop pullout policy.

Well I think in the grand scheme of things we shouldn't really base anything we do off quotes from Osama bin-Ladin.

And honestly, where was the global HQ for terrorist activities before we invaded Iraq? The Middle East.

Bush should ask "god" for the address to this.. would speed things up with fighting this war on terror.

You gotta start pulling troops out (or at least garrisoning them) at some point.
Since I don't expect things there to get any better, the best time is now.
Waiting is just a terrible waste of lives and money.

There in lies the problem, not wanting to keep a permanent military presence in Iraq.

All of a sudden Eisenhower wanted troops out of Berlin looks genius.

I'm sure he'd gladly stay in office and keep trying to fix this shit, but there's that whole, you know, term limit thing in the constitution.

Nahh.. much like his Oil company, The Rangers and the state of Texas.. he stays just long enough to screw something up.. and leaves it for someone else to clean up the mess..

How in the Hell do you bankrupt an Oil company?

If there was at least some hope that another six months would put the Iraqi forces in a position to control things, maybe there would be justification for staying there another six months, but like you said, that's not happening, so every new death is a waste.

Other presidents were smart enough to know not to remove Sadaam from power because of the shitstorm that follows. Hell even his own father knew not to remove Saddam. Saddam kept that region in check..just accept that fact.

Not unless you live in Iraq.. there is no money to be made from your house..is there?

Why.. all he has to do is tell the masses that another attack.. might come and people adhere. The propaganda worked great.. But, seeing as his grandfather and Hitler were buds.. it's really not that big of a surprise.

Umm is that not what Bush is trying to do in Iraq now.. Use our Military to subdue the Iraqi people into our bidding.. I guess its alright for Bush to do it.. Just not Saddam, even though Saddam has a better track record of peace in that region.

Yes, but on a humanitarian mission. Clinton turned Somalia into a police action, and then fucked the troops big time.
