OOhhh Love Shack, B-52s, (Got My Mind) Set on You, George Harrison.
I didn't know it was George back then, I just loved the song. And now as an adult he's one of my favorite musicians evar.
If a kid likes a song, you know it's gotta be bad. Like that John Mayer "Waiting for the World to Change" business.

My first "favorite" song was Everyday done by Phil Collins. I had two of his casette tapes back in the day. I also loved listening to songs like Hit Me With Your Best Shot done by Pat Benatar, While You See a Chance done by Steve Winwood, and Hey 19 done by Steely Dan.

My record player had the care bears on it and I remember playing Bing Crosby's White Christmas on it every year. And I had some Sesame Street record for kids too.
OH man who remembers when Burger King put records in the Sunday papers, and they were of people singing the entire menu, and if you got the record where they made it to the end of the record you won some sort of sweepstakes? Anyone?

I had a playskool 45 player too and somehow I had the Wild Wild Life single by Talking Heads.
I had that too. The only record I remember playing was the Coke song.
I'd like to buy the world a coke and keep it company!!!
BTW, Wikipedia could occupy all my time if I let it. Every time I see something I'm interested in on the board I wikipedia it and I"m entertained for at least a few minutes.

I used to have my own cassette tape recorder/player that I'd constantly be playing those Care Bear and Rainbow Brite soundtrack tapes.
Did you have the kiddie record player too?
