Parque slaps at a ball that would have been fielded cleanly by an infielder for the 3rd out and another run scores.

4-3 Sox.

Sweeney misses a homer by inches, gets a double.

Valido scores.

This closes the book on Jim Parque. Maybe for good.

He may have a career as a Junior College pitching coach. Maybe.

Well, he was running a pitching school in Washington before he decided to give the Majors another shot... so I guess he can get back to that. :hello:

Eduardo Perez hits a single to left and Parque's line is officially closed: 2/3 inning, 6 hits, 6 runs.

No kidding. I guess in the name of fair play the Sox brought out their scrub to pitch this half inning, too. But fear not, Dewon Day is warming in the pen.

8-7 Sox

I walk away for five minutes and all of a sudden its 8-7? Whaa? 2 walks and a single followed by a BP pitch that landed on the hills over the fence. It's things like this that make it prefectly clear that the White Sox organization couldn't give two shits about their Spring Training record.

I remember when parque had an article in the sun times weekly, like his daily journal. I remember him saying it was hard to sleep the night before a game, and that he had a large annoying zit he couldnt pop on the back of his neck:shrug:

I remember the 2001 season after he injured himself, a month later he put his $80,000 car up for sale on ebay.

Smart man, that Jim Parque...
