Lennon, definitely. Next is Cobain and then Morrison.

Morrison, followed by Moon.

Best of those listed up there.

Otherwise, Barrett, Entwhistle, Harrison

Those guys didn't really die in their prime

Lennon would've made more great music.

John Lennon, with Jimi Hendrix coming in a close second.

I'm going Cliff Burton with the SOLE stipulation that Metallica stop sucking balls as a result... If they continue to suck, then Cliff goes back to the beyond...

2nd. Lennon

3rd. Hendrix

I picked Freddy Mercury. One of the most amazing voices and one of the most amazing front men of all time. His songs are just amazing and timeless.

Queen's final album sends chills down my spine because he was basically on his death bed while recording it.

Although he was a huge influence on the rest of the band, I still think that Cliff would've just quit the band rather than actually influenced them not to go the lame-ass route they went down. It was too lucrative not to.

they all respected the hell out of him though... Cliff telling James and LArs they were acting like greedy buttfucks would've really been the 'ol cocktap that they probably needed.

Instead they had a "just happy to be here" replacement and started following the spiritual guidance of the ever-so-integral Bob "you mean I'm not IN THE BAND" Rock.

Cliff would've set them straight

I like to think so, but I'm guessing Lars' need for an expensive art collection and Hetfield needing all that gravel face surgery would have just put them at odds instead of making those douchebags see the light.

Very close call between Lennon and Freddie Mercury, but I went with Lennon because of his social and political work.

what about Mercury for his work in the Munich gay underground?

Again, you could make a case for both. I'm sure Freddie would be a great asset for the Gay Rights Movement, but I think with the whole quagmire in Iraq, we could use John Lennon a bit more.

What about when the gay bomb (http://www.soxandthecity.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3204) gets dropped on Iraq?

On second thought, I'm glad Lennon's dead.

So you can introduce me to Yoko now?

Close between Bonham and Hendrix, but I went with Hendrix just because I fear that if Bonzo was still alive, Zeppelin would be attempting some sort of unessesary comeback.

I always felt that if Hendrix survived, the 80's would not have been kind to him at all...
Can you imagine Hendrix wearing a sports jacket with shoulder pads?? god, it would've been awful..

I feel the same way about if Bonham lived.

80's Zeppelin might have very well killed the legacy they left by burning out instead of fading away by trying to compete with Phil Collins or some shit.

Imagine Led Zeppelin's answer to "Sussudio." :puke:

That's not even taking into consideration that fucking bust he insisted on having made for the "Hello" video.

Lionel Richie clearly doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks.

Yeah, I would have beat you if I wasn't searching for a fucking photo of the bust they made 20 years ago.

I do the legwork and the research and it gets results, SFS04. :furious:
