I can't believe he was only 38. He looked 45 when he pitched.

In all seriousness, I thought he was a lot older too. It's unfortunate and it seemed like he was a great guy from all the reports about him. His life was cut short way too early.

It was a mullet related accident.

In all seriousness, I thought he was a lot older too. It's unfortunate and it seemed like he was a great guy from all the reports about him. His life was cut short way too early.

While working his way back to the majors in 2003, Beck pitched for the Triple-A Iowa Cubs and lived in his Winnebago parked just beyond the outfield fence. Fans would drop by for autographs and stay for a beer, and Beck became a folk hero. Then the Padres called.

Oh man!

That's too bad.

I am sorry that he died.

He was a great guy and a darn good closer back in the day. At one time, he was one of the best.

He was a winner and there was a reason why he was a fan favorite in the Bay Area. He was a character.

The thing I got out of watching Rod was that he love the game of baseball and he easily showed that.

He died too young. It seems most baseball players that I grew up watching are dying so quickly.

I am stunned.

I like watching mustaches grow. :fap:

Man, if it isn't already, that needs to be some kind of sexual innuendo.

Also, I'll try to grow out my mustache. Because, fuck it. Rod Beck would have.

I'd glue my pubes to my face but I only have like 12 of those either.
