Well, you see, that's the whole point.

I am undoubtedly descended from the Romans (and all their component ethnicities), the Angles, the Saxons, the Jutes, the Danes and the Normans.

From my height, build and the color of my hair/eyes, I'd guess that my 'ethnicity' is probably most strongly Germanic/Nordic/Baltic, but I think that my surname is Norman (its first recorded appearance is in the East Riding of Yorkshire in about AD 1180 - so it's most likely either Norman or Danish), and in any case you just can't say with any of the Inselaffen - we're all mixed up.

Physical appearance-wise, I'd have been 'safe' under either of the truly ghastly racist regimes of the last coupla hundred years:

I'm tall & I have (dark) blond hair & blue eyes, so the Nazis would have proclaimed me to be an 'Aryan';
and I can also grow a powerful beard, so the Taliban would also have welcomed me (provided that I allowed one of them to hack off a small part of my wedding tackle).

(Needless to say, I find the ideologies of both these regimes unspeakably ghastly, so both would actually have executed me as a heretic/unbeliever.)
