I once discussed the majesty of "Hallelujiah" with a mod-loving Italian dude..

Take this at face value...

I'm quite partial to "Lover, you should've come over" which is quite possibly the most beautifully written song of the past 20 years, no fucking joke.

It's never over, my kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder... its never over, all my blood for the sweetness of her laughter...its never over, she's the tear that hangs inside my soul forever"

Makes my cold, stone, crusted, hollow soul warm inside.

I will not argue with any of the above statements...

i love grace, but i think we need to be realistic about the merits of the songs on it and not get caught up in the cult of personality....

i don't think anything of the sort. i DO think that from a songwriting, or even performance, standpoint, calling "lover you should have come over" one of the most beautifully written songs ever is a gross exaggeration

it was "of the last 20 years".. which puts us at the year 1987.. narrows the pool down a bit

i guess. i still don't buy it.

hell, lilac wine and last goodbye are more heartbreaking songs on that album alone

that "i lost myself on a cool, damp night" line from lilac wine is particularly haunting

Your inability to stop masturbating to Jawbreaker and appreciate all that is the Jeff Buckley is truly unfortunate.

And I never said ever, I said past 20 years.

this gets you all fired up, doesn't it Wong, doesn't it??

Never took you for a Buckley fan, Cira. Nice job.

"Lover" and "Lilac Wine" are both great songs.

But "Nightmares By The Sea" "Witches' Rave" and "Morning Theft" might be better. Sketches is a totally overlooked Buckley album. Everybody's always talking about Grace, but everyone forgets they released another (unfinished) album of his posthumously.

you're such a worthless shit, cira. jeff buckley's fine, but let's not pretend that since he died that made him more than a really good singer and a pretty good songwriter.

lover is the 4th best song on grace, almost without question...and that's generous, b/c mojo pin is probably better too. but whatever.....

and btw only dickless butt plugs hate on jawbreaker.

best band ever to play

sound familiar? yeah...it's just like your douchey buckley proclamations. kill yourself and your 1 inch dick
