Depending on where they live, and how big of a signing bonus they recieved, most have to get another job to supplement their income.

I was at a wedding about 4-5 years ago, and the guy the bridewas marrying was a AA player. Any rate We knew the gal, and he made about 90K. However, no joke both Alomar brothers were there, Sandy and Bobby(they were hilarious, down to earth guys by the way), and I talked to both them for a long time. Bobby had said how much more rellaxxed AAA was for him, and he still made about 150-180K per year, Sandy kind of agreed, and concurred w/ payroll. So alot of these guys are makin' a decent living down there, now I dont know where the cutofff is between A money, AA money, and AAA money. I think like SectionBNole says alot has to do w/ what kind of paper you sign outa highschool or college. Decades ago, my dad played at a highest of AA ball, and made about $6,800/ year at the peak he said, now granted that was a LONG time ago, but would probably be about 30-40K a year nowadays I would figure. Not to shabby for playin baseball all day, and cards all night he always told me.
