Chicago Tribune:
3 cub stories
4 sox stories
Chicago SunTimes:
4 cub stories
3 sox stories
3 90-win Seasons since 1950, Laughingstock of MLB Cubs 109
14 90-win Seasons since 1950, WS Champs in 2005 SOX 62
The SOX are again not able to make a dent in the number of stories the Cubs dominate the SOX by today. In fact, since I've kept track of these stats since 2000, the SOX have NEVER led the Cubs, which is as surprising as it is disturbing, further damning the Chicago Media.
The Vazquez signing I figured would've been worth a lot of ink today, but instead, were treated to Cub Fluffer Gordon Wittenmeyers rah-rah article on how great it was that $40Million man Ted Lilly gets into fights with his manager during games, and shows just how competitive he is. We know that if it was Gavin Floyd who fought with his manager, Floyds personality would be questioned, he would be asked non-stop if he is disruptive, would be labeled a potential clubhouse-troublemaker etc etc.
