This (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0960835/) could be the best idea ever.
Alien space robots that turn into stuff fighting a war.
Throw in a bunch of stupid humans that nobody cares about and you've got the makings of the ultimate movie.

Why has nobody ever thought of this before?
