Was out on Sunday and a SOX fans happened to be next to me, just out and having a good time discussing our ballclub. Everybody cackled when they SOX 13, Cubs 2 score flashed on the ticker. A guy next to me remarked that he was a cub fan, and that it was a spring game it didn't mean much. I agreed but noted that it still felt great anyway. He said that it was nice to win in 05, but it was a new year, and that his team was going all the way. I told him that "you people" always say that no matter what, nobody pays attention to them. Sox fans anway. I asked how he could be a fan of that team, as bad as they've been the last 50 plus years ....... He said its the Ballpark. I told him our Ballpark is pretty nice, but wasnt nice back in the day when it opened, and that SOX fans are there to WATCH the game, not the ballpark.

That was the difference between the 2 fanbases. Amazingly ...... he thought about it for a moment, and agreed

i like stadiums. they date back to the ancient romans. baseball only dates back to the late 1800's. clearly cubs fans have a greater appreciation of the world than white sox fans

Domination of the Cubs in ANY capacity is important. And I agree...SOX fans are there to WATCH the game (except for the losers who are only there to get drunk, which, unfortunately a select few at Comiskey do; however, that's the majority at Wrigley).

You aren't there ONLY to do the forementioned. You've always been a great guy, Miller.
