Chicago Tribune:
4 cub stories
1 sox stories
Chicago SunTimes:
4 cub stories
3 sox stories
Standings since beginning of Spring Training:
Laughingstock of MLB, 3 90-win Seasons since 1950 CUBS 92
WS Champs in 2005, 14 90-win Seasons since 1950 SOX 50

A little tougher to gauge the number of stories today, since many talked of the game, however there were a number of stories slanted towards the cub perspective, and of course there were more of those and the SOX lose more ground in media coverage. In the SunTimes photo, We see "cross-town showdown" with a Color picture of Soriano high-fiving Ramirez. From the picture, you would think it was the Cubs who won the game. Last nite,
while watching ESPN, I see all the Spring Training games on the Ticker.
We see WHITE SOX 13, CUBS 2, and then we see the Highlights of the game STATS, which showed SORIANO and Derrek LEE had hits and homers.
Hmmmmmmmmm, Paul Konerko had a better day than either of them ........
no Konerko stats? Hilarious. Jay Mariotti today declares Chicago a Cubs town ............Because they spent $300 Million Dollars? Not.
Yesterdays SunTimes was inexcusable.

On the back page .........they have pictures of AJ "the instigator" Pierzynksi, and Michael "the enforcer" Barret. What is wrong with this towns media and why do they continue to portray AJ as the bad guy, and Imbecile Barret as the good guy?

Barrett is giving cash to fight a disease while AJ is fighting David Exstein in a cage match while destroying Children books..

I really don't care about the press in Spring Training.. I prefer all the spotlight to be on the Cubs.. Look at last year allot of we had the spotlight on us and we failed in a way to come through.. Now look at 05, all the spotlight was on the Cubs and what happened?

No at the start of ST it was on us.. and DLee for them. About midway through it was on us.. When we started to come apart.

I used to have the ACTUAL stats from Last Spring Training last year. They were on triple digits by the 2nd week alone last year! I don't have access, as the Nazi's stormed the records vault, and burned all the evidence
so you'll have to trust me on that

You go Hangar!

Yesterday, the Sox paraded out most of the young pitchers the Tribune has been criticizing all winter: John Danks, Gio Gonzalez, David Aardsma, Andrew Sisco. The four combined to shut out the Tribune's precious Cubbies, but after all the "controversy" Tribune writers imagined all winter, none of them seemed to notice that collective performance.

That Cubs broadcast made me sick yesterday.

And people hate on Hawk because HE'S a homer? The entire Cubs broadcast is one homer-show. At least Hawk and DJ can point out flaws of our fucking players without getting fired.

Every player that puts on a White Sox uni is the best player Hawk has ever seen. Dj just agrees with him.. Both booths are bad, I miss Rooney..:(
