per whitesox.com
"Javier Vazquez worked one out into the third inning, allowing five runs on six hits, and left with the bases loaded. Broadway didn't exactly help Vazquez's cause by walking in two runs and allowing a third to score on a sacrifice fly."
Two losses today in split-squad action.
Crede had two hits, one of them a two(2) run dong(wang).

I don't think so, just felt like we needed an update for today. There's more people in the lottery ticket thread though

eh, whatever. This happens every season. PItchers throw all fastballs for an inning, then all breaking pitches for an inning... who cares.
When's openng day again??

last year the sox lost their first 6 games in spring training.
majority of the times a losing record in ST-usually means a winning season.

A collegue of mine's first words to me this morning at work were, "The Sox are 0-1!" He looked exacerbated!
I told him to cool off and wait til April before getting all worked up.

Two of my sixth grade students started giving me the business this afternoon, yelling "Sox are 0-1 already!" at me. I told them that it was the first game of Spring Training and a lot of these pitchers haven't faced live hitting since early October (excluding the practice they've had in Tucson over the last couple weeks), and that this sort of thing is common, especially early on.
I also mentioned that this is the time in Spring Training when a lot of the minor leaguers play in these games (and that their skills aren't as sharp as an MLB player's) and that the regular players only play a few innings and get a couple of ABs in. Like you, I just told 'em to relax!

Good update. Thru todays games, Sox starters have been getting shelled quite regularity. Lets get all of these games out of the way now ...........
