Prince Charles recently suggested that banning McDonald's (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070228/ap_on_re_eu/britain_charles) would be crucial to improving people's health.
I think this is ridiculous. I am all for healthy eating, but people should be able to choose what goes into their bodies. I think that restaurants should have nutrition info readily available. IIRC, McDonald's is the first fast food place to actually put nutrition information on the food packaging. If you haven't been to Mc Donald's lately, the cheeseburgers have nutrition info on each individual wrapper.
People should be able to choose what they want to eat, but I also think that people need to have the information to make informed choices if they choose to do so. Banning? No way. Banning sucks.

Fat is a necessary molecule, Henry. It just happens to follow a generla rule of mine: ANYTHING is excess is a bad thing.

Why is it always McDonald's taking the brunt of this decades too late war on obesity? Sure, their stuff is fattening, but they have salads and chicken. Choices. McDonald's was here first in Des Plaines in the 1950s or whatever. They started it all. All these other pretenders like Burger King, Sonic, White Castle, Wendy's, Fat Burger, Lardo's, Greasy Charlie's and Fat Bastard's should be accountable as well.
I think when speaking about fast food bans, McDonald's name gets thrown around like Kleenex when speaking about tissue paper.

I agree with that and I think McDonald's and Wendy's have done the best (as far as fast food chains) for offering choices and informing the consumer.

Prince Charles is a commie bastard. He's jealous because, unlike his ancestors and Ronald McDonald, Chuck never will get to rule an Empire. McDonalds is taking over the world to make benefit the Great People of the Greater Chicagoland Area. McD spreads God-fearing American values whereever it goes. McD single-handedly brought down the Berlin wall and the Soviet block. Want peace in Iraq? Build more McDs. Iran and N Korea are next. Cheeseburgers FTW!
