I'll vote Boston now, but I sure miss the road trips when I was a kid up to County Stadium, when we had the Brew crew in our league. Still think that would be a great World Series, and I put my traditional long shot bet on it again this year at 280-1.

I hear excellent things about Denver in general. True/False?

Boston! :D

Very, very true. Boulder is even better. Absolutely stunning views, anything you could ever want to do, and relatively inexpensive as a visitor. Now to live there, totally different story, but we took a family of 5 and spent less than 1500.00 for 7 days including meals and hotel. We made the kids sleep in the van, and eat the scraps from the doggy bag, but still.

If we're talking about places they'll play this year, Seattle. Overall, San Diego, no question.

I voted Pittsburgh, but Seattle's pretty good too. We hit 2 or 3 of the AL Central cities every year.
I was going to try to catch games in Phily and Baltimore this year, but my cousin decided to get married in hickville, USA that week.

It's too bad they aren't playing Baltimore and Philly back to back. It's only about an hour and a half drive between the two. I'm almost definitely going to Balmer this year with it being a four game weekend series and all. I may go to Atlanta at the end of March too. I think the Bulls play there the weekend the Sox do.

I agree. I took the tour there last year, but it was in February so I wasn't able to see any baseball. I love San Diego, but I also do want to experience San Francisco. Baseball in the Brokeback capital of the world = heaven. ;)

SF looks very interesting, cant wait for the SOX to play there so I can see it.
Petco Park was even better with the SOX playing there that weekend, and the stadium filled with tons of SOX fans. I remember Longshot, Patbooyah and I yelling MANSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LEE and the whole bullpen (as well as the whole section of Padre fans) looking at us, as Mansoo waved.
The fish tacos are great too

I have plans to go to White Sox 2nd game, then that Friday Fly to SD to see their Home opener, as well as the Giants first game at Petco this season.

I'll be at one of the three games of that Opening Series. I'm heading down to San Diego for a week in April for my school's Spring Break and my uncle is already working on getting us tickets from a friend of his.
I LOVE Petco Park and the Gaslamp District just a few blocks away! I can't wait for my trip!!! :nana:

Those are some gargantuan trees there in southern California.
Remember when the White Sox played there in '05 and Rowand hit that bomb into the Metal Supply Building FTW? That was awesome.
Yeah. I was at Mama Vesuvio's (personally I don't give a shit if I spelled that right) on Route 83 and Ridgeland.

No, that's right.
I was in my mom's living room smoking a cigarette for that glorious WGN day game. When he hit the homer, I jumped through the picture window and ran amok, climbing the Chrysler building. Napoleonic pussywillow sagebrush.
Oops I fucked up. I thought he hit during the night game:omg:
Crap I don't know where I was then:confused:

My guess is that I'd also be doing some sight-seeing and I'd rather see Boston than most of the places on that list.

I'm goin' out on a limb here, give me philly. Gimme a cheesesteak and the history of the city, plus the Phillies are actually decent now so you better go before they're at the bottom of the division.
I live in Portland Oregon so Seattle doesn't really count as traveling to me.
No baseball here so I have to go up there to see the Sox (got my August tix for my birthday).
Safeco Park is real nice, but the fans are as boring as they come.:jagoff: I am tortured to listen to the freakin' games on the only sports radio station here (ESPN Radio), just ask BJ how bad it is :jenks: .
Way to sum it up Bobby...
IMO, Fenway, Wrigley and Yankee Stadium are the musts of ballparks.
Coors, At&T, Petco are on the to do list....
any others to add?

I saw games, not always Sox games, at these stadiums last year: Kansas City, *Baltimore, **St. Louis, Atlanta, *Pittsburgh, Wrigley,*Milwaukee, Seattle, Arlington, Washington, Oakland and *Cincinnati. I gotta tell you that they are all good places to go to a game. I saw Bonds play at the Nationals and it's not a great place, but he hit one a good 480 feet that just took the breath out of the crowd. The Cardinals new stadium is great.
