God now i feel like the hawks are the krause post jordan era bulls now

Another great young talent traded, to the red wings none the less

Kyle calder traded again from the hawks and get a "eh im good" player in return

"Williams, who amassed 49 goals and 67 assists in 233 career games with Detroit, expressed no disappointment in going from a sure playoff team to a club that will not make the postseason.

"I'm definitely excited about coming to Chicago," he said. "Anytime you can be a part of an 'Original Six' team, it's special. Chicago is making strides in the right direction. I'm looking forward to coming to Chicago and in being a major factor on the team.

"I'm happy to be going to a team that wants me and I'm looking forward to helping the Blackhawks."

AKA, i'll have fun time eatin for free at chelios' restaurant

smolinski also traded

Does Chelli still have a place in Chicago or did he move it all to Detroit?

Anyway, the Hawks aren't getting any impact players around the deadline because they have none to give up. How in this NHL can your second leading scorer have 37 points?

Unreal!

I don't understand why they didn't keep Calder. And of all people to get for him too, it just seemed pointless. And was the Smolinski move for cap room because there wouldn't be any reason the Hawks need a 2nd round draft pick. I was just hoping we could get Roenick and maybe get some excitement around the team even though this isn't their year.
