We'll see how this one plays out. I really would rather not have the distraction of Briggs going into next year, but I guess if they traded Briggs it would open the door for other players to demand trades/say they're never going to play for the Bears again.

Washington was offering them a horseshit deal. I'm glad they told them to either sign Briggs to an offer sheet, or to stick it.

The deal was bad for the Bears and the Bears were going to trade the 6th pick if they got it probably for a mid round early 20 pick as it would cost too much against their salary cap to get a player that high.
