yeah i got one of them shits handed to me yesterday. a pamphlet detailing how dangerous drinking is. :rolleyes:

they had a chart---apparently drinking leads to:

overdose deaths, sexual assault, physical violence.

apparently weed does not

There's always been an underlying animosity from the weed set towards the alcohol set. Mainly because of the obvious hypocrisy of the written laws concerning the two and the much more obvious drawbacks of alcohol as opposed to the sweet, sweet chiva chiva...

Either way, SAFER's efforts are a tad misguided.

Either way, SAFER's effort are a tad misguided.

The animosity is odd, considering the considerable overlap in alcohol and weed users.

Although, they were more than a few annoying souls in college who railed against the evils of alcohol but thought nothing of driving into town after pulling about 10 feet of bong hits...

There is a huge overlap, but there's also those annoying, pompous hippies that carry the anti-alcohol torch into the head shops. I can see pointing out the hypocrisy's as beneficial to the legalization cause, but attacking alcohol is a bit ridiculous and won't get them anywhere really.
